A Bohemian Bridal Bash

A Real Borrowed Charm Event

Miss to Mrs. One of our favorite things to plan (outside of weddings of course) are Bridal Showers for the Bride to be! We love putting together a picture-perfect gathering for you to celebrate with your closest friends and family! We loved this Bridal Bash we helped put together for Madison and got down to the nitty-gritty with some bohemian flair.

Allow us to shower your screen with all the tips and tricks to get the most detail oriented, picturesque setting, making all your party host dreams come true! This shower could not have been such a huge success without the fabulous vendor team including Korbyn Skye Photography who photographed every detail, Rootstock Floral and Poppy Lane Design for floral arrangements, Opulent Couture Balloons for the gorgeous balloon garland

and styling tips, and rentals from Borrowed Charm.

The Hostess with the Mimosa-est

Let’s be real, a great part of bridal showers is the booze. We recommend you keep it classy and sophisticated. So having a Mimosa Bar available for your guests to kick off the party is surely the way to go. Not only can you create the cutest and most aesthetically pleasing display, but also having a large selection of juice choices at the bar will surely impress your guests, alcohol or not.

What you’ll need:

  1. Signage for your drink menu and display tags. This can be done by ordering from a local print shop and/or a calligrapher.
  2. Simple jars for several different juice choices.
  3. Champagne bucket for your champagne, of course (on ice).
  4. Bowls and dishes for fruit embellishments.
  5. Some of our Vintage Goblets that match your color scheme.
  6. Personalized napkins and stir sticks for an added touch of fun!
  7. Any additional décor, Madison’s Boho Dream, included our macramé runner, bohemian lanterns, and of course, a little floral to top it all off.

I’m Really Here for The Food…

…but aren’t we all? The best (and easiest) way to feed your hungry guests at showers is to provide finger foods, which can make be budget-friendly, as well as easy to eat if you focus on bite-sized pieces, especially in a social setting for our fellow self-conscious snack-ers. A charcuterie board is a fabulous way to allow for light snacking, and include some good protein options for our healthy eaters. A fresh fruit display pairs well with charcuterie and compliments your mimosa bar. For some heavier options, consider serving assorted sandwiches and sliders on assorted rolls or our favorite, butter croissants.

Whose Down for Desserts???

What’s better than one dessert? TWO desserts! For Madison’s showers, we celebrated with all the sugar! We opted for FUN and function for this bohemian bridal bash, which included personalized cookies for Madison and Tyler, as well as assorted and fun flavored donuts. Easy to eat finger foods, except for the jelly-filled donuts of course. The biggest secret to bringing these desserts to life was incorporating a non-traditional dessert display, which was seamlessly executed using Borrowed Charm’s
Woven Side Shelf display. This allowed for some space-saving by vertical serving and added a nice element to pull the entire bohemian vibe together. Varying heights and styles of dessert stands allowed for height and dimension in the display, including adding small flower touches to which softened the overall sweet display.

We’re Still Boho Dreaming

If we were to describe this set up in one adjective, it would be SWOON WORTHY. Madison’s vendors definitely showed up with their A-game to complete the perfect setting in celebration of the bride-to-be, and the work shows for itself. There truly is no better way to add a WOW factor to your bridal bash than a luscious, jaw-dropping, picturesque area for photos with friends, and to open cards and gifts handpicked by your loved ones.

Go big or go home… am I right?

What you’ll need:

  1. Statement Backdrop. Several pieces of BC Inventory hit the spot, but butcher paper art or a fabric canvas are also great ideas that can be handmade through a local calligrapher.
  2. Seating for a Queen, or in this case Bride. An upholstered piece, or bamboo settee works great, but in this case, our Sage Peacock Chair did the trick.
  3. Floor poufs and pillows not only provided easy extra seating, but it was perfect for the overall bohemian aesthetic. We have many options to choose from, such as our Macrame Corded Pouf, Colorful Floor Pillows, and luscious pillow collection.
  4. A RUG!! For Madison, we chose our Terracotta rug to bring in her color palette and add in a little warmth to this space.
  5. Accent Pieces. For Madison, we opted for a side table with metal accents and bohemian lanterns in varying shades to add some neutral colors into the mix. The side table was a great place to rest her drink mid-gift opening and a place to include some statement florals!
  6. Balloon garland, Streamers, or any other over the top Element to bring in the WOW, fun colors and a way to frame in the focal point.
  7. Any additional décor, which can include a macramé backdrop, partition, and of course, nothing is complete without some floral! For Madison’s Boho Magic, smilax greenery, pampas grass, in palette floral arrangements and loose blooms to finish off the boho touches.
